In the span of 20 years, we’ve crafted kitchens for every type of environment, from prestigious period homes to cosy country cottages. What unites every design is a need for it to function as well as it looks, to combine a beautiful aesthetic with a proven purpose. As a result, we spend a lot of time getting every detail right, from our unique hardwood frame design to our traditional butt hinges and 30mm thick cabinet doors. We add extra layers of luxury and enjoyment in pullout shelves, bottle racks and individual cutlery inserts. We design kitchens for your life, whatever that might look like.

Over 20 years ago, Ed Rhatigan turned his love of antique furniture restoration and fine furniture design into a business that has left a long-lasting impact on hundreds of households around the country. Alongside co-founder Gary Hick, Ed built an acclaimed kitchen design business that is now a favoured partner of the world’s top interior designers and architects.
No matter the size or scope of the project, Ed’s design philosophy remains the same: Design should be simple, but significant. He is inspired by old-school skills and modern materials alike, forging new paths for a fresh generation. Since taking the reins of Rhatigan & Hick, Ed has led the company into a new era that focuses on a perfect trinity of design, craftsmanship and quality.

What’s Inside the Cabinetry?
Rhatigan & Hick’s premium kitchens are built to last. We use solid wood on our cabinet internals, offering a choice of durable lacquered finishes. Wood lined drawers running on concealed soft close runners. Our cabinet doors are 30mm thick and hung to Rhatigan & Hick’s unique hardwood frame design with traditional butt hinges. All this yields cabinetry that is both impressive and build for the task.

We believe that kitchen cabinets should be as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. We incorporate a host of utility features including larder units with pullout shelves and bottle racks to combined waste and recycling bins.
